ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a hands-on Production Chef to join our production team.
This is a daytime production role with no evening service, split shifts or regular weekend working.
This is a varied role working across both sweet and savoury production, with a significant proportion of the role focused on preparing and assembling premium canapés. You will also support the production of cakes, brownies and other bakery products.
WORKING HOURS
- Full-time permanent position
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Typical working hours are expected to be approximately 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Some flexibility may occasionally be required during busy periods and peak production times
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and assembling premium canapés to specification
- Producing canapé components, fillings, garnishes and toppings
- Supporting the production of cakes, brownies and other bakery products
- Following recipes and production specifications accurately
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and consistency
- Weighing, portioning and packing products
- Assisting with stock control and stock rotation
- Supporting order preparation and dispatch
- Maintaining food safety, allergen and hygiene standards
- Cleaning production areas and equipment
- Working collaboratively with the wider production team

DESIRABLE
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food production environment
- Understanding of food allergens and food safety procedures
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, Pastry Chef, Baker or within commercial food production
