Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Blind Fitter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing various types of window coverings, including blinds, shutters, and shades. Your expertise will ensure our clients receive high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work nationally on diverse projects for Bluehip/Tier 1 clients, utilizing a wide range of skills in construction and finishing trades. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent results.
Training course as a team will be given if the application and interview process is successful.
Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately to ensure proper fit of blinds and shades.
- Install a variety of window coverings using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Reporting quickly and accurately any problems with measurement for the working area.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Use experience as needed for complex installations or modifications needing to be made.
Experience
- Proven experience in blind fitting or related construction trades such as carpentry or skilled labour
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication processes
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction painting
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different project requirements
