NDT / NDE Technician
IPP Group are looking to recruit an NDT Technician to join our existing team of shop floor engineers in our Barton-under-Needwood manufacturing facility, producing critical piping components to the oil and gas industry .
You would be responsible for ensuring product compliance in relation to a high end product line, in accordance with stringent client specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate would also be responsible for non-destructive testing of pipes, tubes, pipe fittings and forged flanges. They'd also be involved with the calibration of equipment, completing non-conformance reports and producing bespoke NDT reports.
The successful candidate must;
- PCN Level II (2) qualification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (22).
- Relevant experience of inspecting pipes, fittings and flanges.
- Have good working experience of Microsoft office based programs; Word & Excel.
- Be able to demonstrate good time management and problem solving skills.
The following skills would also be advantageous;
- PCN Level II (2) qualification in Ultrasonic Testing (24) for forgings and plate.
- PCN Level II (2) UT (24) for welds, Magnetic Particle Testing (21), Visual Testing (23)
- Oil and Gas industry experience, most notably ASME B16.9 and ASTM B16.5 fittings & flanges.
