We are looking for a practical and reliable Steel Erector / Cladder / Marquee Installation Operative to join our site team.
This is a varied role across three areas of the business:
- Portal frame steel buildings, including steel erection, cladding, flashings, roller shutter doors and personnel doors.
- Industrial and commercial marquee-style structures using steel or aluminium frames. These are not event marquees.
- Portable and modular buildings, including siting, fitting and installation support.
The role would suit someone who enjoys varied project work rather than doing one single trade every day. Installations typically last 2 days - 4 weeks working away (No weekends unless you request them and they are approved).
Main Duties
- Assist with steel erection, cladding and flashing works.
- Install industrial/commercial frame structures.
- Help site and fit portable or modular buildings.
- Fit doors, trims and associated components where required.
- Load, unload and handle materials safely.
- Use hand tools, power tools and access equipment.
- Follow site instructions, drawings and safe working methods.
- Report site issues, missing materials or safety concerns.
- Work away from home is an expectation of this role.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in steelwork, cladding, roofing, construction, modular buildings, temporary structures or similar.
- Practical, hands-on attitude.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at height.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
- Willing to travel and work on different types of projects.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS, telehandler or forklift experience.
- Experience with steel buildings, cladding, roller shutters or modular buildings.

Pay: £15.50-£18.50 per hour
