South Yorkshire Gymnastics Academy is an IGA club that was first started back in 2016 when coach Alana had a dream to start a small team of gymnasts to go to competitions. Soon after the success of the girls, the team grew and grew and not long after in 2017, Sheffield Gymnastics Academy was born. When Alan came along, who helped the academy with his twenty years plus experience, we soon realised that the sport was becoming popular and more children wanted to become part of the academy. Fast forwards to 2025 and SGA moved into our current home, a 7000 square foot unit, home to state-of-the-art equipment and full-size apparatus and rebranded ourselves South Yorkshire Gymnastics Academy. We now have over ten coaches working all disciplines from toddler and preschool right through to competitive gymnastics.Whether it be a recreational class or a high competitive squad, the academy has something to offer everyone.
We are looking for an experienced gymnastics coach, who enjoys working with recreational gymnasts of all ages and abilities. You must be confident enough to take your own classes, have patience and understanding with children and a passion for passing on your knowledge of the sport. You will have excellent time keeping skills as well as the ability to remain as organised as possible when coaching.
Hours will be discussed during the interview process. This will include cover hours as well as our holiday camps that we run throughout the year.
