Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Wood Machinist/Door Fabricator to join our team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in woodworking, door fabrication, and general carpentry. As a trainee, you will learn to operate various tools and machinery, assist with custom door manufacturing, and support the overall production process. This paid position is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in woodworking and construction, with room for growth and skill advancement.
- Understanding technical drawings
- Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs, and making accurate calculations
- Cutting, shaping and joining wood and other materials to create products
- Working with a variety of tools, including hand tools, power tools and machinery to create products such as frames, screens, and doors.
- Work to the manufacturing programme, adapting to changes in schedule and requirements where necessary
- Receive, unload, move and lift materials for working, following good handling practices, preventing injury or damage
- Preparing surfaces for painting and finishing
- Helping with cutting and fitting ironmongery
- Finishing timber products (painting/Polishing)

Helpful Qualifications
· Level 1 carpentry or equivalent
· Spray painting experience
· Basic English and Maths
