Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursing care facility. As a Home Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the home, including staff supervision, resident care, and administrative tasks. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills and a compassionate approach to providing quality care.
Duties:
- Manage the overall operation of the nursing home
- Supervise and train staff members, ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures
- Develop and implement care plans for residents, including medication administration and monitoring
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive appropriate medical care
- Oversee the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for residents
- Handle resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care
- Provide support and guidance to residents and their families
- Implement programs and activities to enhance the well being of residents, including dementia care initiatives
Applicants for this Home Manager position should meet the following criteria:
- NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RN1/RNA or Mental Health Nurse/RMN/RMHN or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD and ideally have completed or are currently completing a recognised management qualification such as Diploma Level 5/The Registered Managers Award
- From a strong background in elderly and dementia care, with experience as CQC Registered Manager.
- Able to effectively manage a team to provide the highest or care to our residents, budgets and resources, ensuring a cost effective service that doesn’t compromise on quality
- Able to lead, develop and inspire both clinical and non-clinical teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise staff members
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
- Experience in medication administration and monitoring
- Familiarity with developing care plans for residents with various medical needs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate approach to providing care for elderly individuals
