Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Coach / Gym Manager to lead our CrossFit and Hyrox/fitness programmes. This role involves overseeing daily operations of the gym, managing coaching staff, and delivering exceptional training experiences to our members.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with a solid understanding of anatomy to optimise athlete performance and minimise injury risk.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire others while ensuring the smooth running of our facility.
You will be coaching & running the gym combined.
Responsibilities
- Lead and organise coaching sessions across various sports disciplines, ensuring programmes meet organisational standards and member needs.
- Manage daily gym operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Supervise and mentor coaching staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
- Develop customised training plans tailored to individual athlete goals, incorporating knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics.
- Monitor athlete progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting programmes as necessary.
- Promote a safe environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and conducting regular risk assessments.
- Coordinate with administrative staff for membership management, bookings, and facility bookings.
- Organise specialised workshops or clinics to enhance member engagement and skill development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Crossift/Hyrox/Functional sports coaching with a track record of developing athletes or teams.
- Prior experience in managing a gym or sports facility is highly desirable.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all ages and skill levels.
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Leadership qualities with the capacity to oversee staff performance and foster teamwork.
- Relevant coaching certifications or qualifications recognised within the industry are essential.
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for promoting health and fitness.
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
