Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our house care home, ensuring a welcoming environment for all residents , visitors and staff. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Clean and maintain residents rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and ordered via management with suppliers.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Maintenance Person.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests or inquiries.
- Maintain records of cleaning schedules and completed tasks for accountability.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Housekeeping/Professional Cleaning is crucial.
- Experience in a care home environment is an advantage but not essential, aslong as you are up to date with COSHH , IPC and Health and Safety.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all residents, visitors and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
