Job Summary
JOB HOURS: 9am - 2-30pm 2/3 days per week.
MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY ( NO WEEKENDS)
We are seeking a proactive and friendly Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting daily shop operations, helping prepare and serve fresh food in a small customer facing environment. The ideal candidate will be well presented, with a warm & friendly personality, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to work within a small team and be able to work under pressure in a small busy environment. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- 9am - 2-30pm 2/3 days a week MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY NO WEEKENDS
- Flexibility to cover staff holidays
- Take food orders & prepare sandwiches etc infront of customers.
- Prepare & make sandwich fillings
- Prepare & make hot food & hot drinks
- Take & prepare telephone orders
- Washing up & keeping all food preparation areas clean & tidy
- Provide information about products and services to help customers make informed decisions
- Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor and display areas
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled and displayed
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment
- Address customer queries promptly and escalate issues when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work during shop hours.
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
