Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Nurse to join our vibrant childcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in supporting children's development in a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst working closely with children, ensuring their safety, happiness, and educational growth. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and be committed to creating a positive, engaging atmosphere for young learners. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality childcare and educational activities tailored to children's individual needs
- Support the development of children through play, learning, and socialisation programmes
- Supervise and manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding children's progress and wellbeing
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and organisational skills
- Assist in planning and implementing curriculum activities that promote early childhood development
- Manage behaviour positively whilst fostering independence and confidence among children
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff or interns as required
Experience
- Proven nursery experience within a childcare setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
- Demonstrable management or leadership experience in a childcare environment
- Working with children aged from infancy to preschool age
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of current safeguarding policies and procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities
- Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation duties
