Overview
The Plastic Printing Co Ltd (PPC Labels) is a specialist horticultural Print & Packaging company providing tailor made labelling, packaging and point of sale solutions to growers and retailers.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office / Factory Manager and Administrator to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a versatile individual capable of managing administrative tasks, supervising team members, and ensuring smooth communication between office and factory functions. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in managing teams and administrative processes. Duties
- Oversee daily office and factory operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure team cohesion and performance.
- Coordinate human resources activities such as organising agency staff, onboarding, and staff scheduling.
- Maintain effective communication channels via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- A good telephone manner when liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and ISO regulations within the factory environment.
- Supervising orders through the various stages of production.
- Negotiating with suppliers, stocktaking and purchasing materials.
- Being involved in various areas of print production, such as planning, scheduling and overall management.
- You would also organise workloads, organise transport and deliveries, supervise staff and plan schedules, meet deadlines and achieve quality standards.
- General administration work, including completing paperwork such as delivery notes, purchase orders and picking lists.
- You will also be happy to take on board many of the more day to day administrative and ad hoc aspects of running a small print office, helping out with quality control, including checking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
Experience
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are vital.
- Strong IT skills including MS office
- Previous office experience combined with administrative expertise is preferred.
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Punctual, hard working with good team ethic
- Ability to manage own work and quality control as well as managing agency staff.
- Will be required to work beyond normal office hours including regular weekends when Customer deadlines need to be met

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in an office administration role and be educated to 'A' level or equivalent level.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
