We are recruiting a passionate Deputy Manager to join an established 2-bed Children's Residential Home in Norbury, Croydon, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced Registered Manager within a supportive organisation that is committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained. You will lead by example, supervise the staff team and help create a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home.
- Lead and supervise the staff team during shifts.
- Promote safeguarding and child-centred practice.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Support care planning, risk assessments and record keeping.
- Build positive relationships with Local Authorities, families and professionals.
- Mentor and develop Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
- Help drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
Requirements
✔ Previous experience within an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
✔ Experience in a Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Support Worker role.
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 or working towards is desirable).
✔ Experience supporting young people with EBD.
✔ Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
✔ Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Pay: £45,420.00-£47,422.63 per year
