Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our client in Yetminster, who are actively recruiting for Unskilled Butcher on a temporary to permanent basis to join the team.
Responsibilities:

Cut, trim and prepare lamb to the required standards

Ensure strict adherence to quality, animal welfare and ethical procedures

Follow traceability processes and ensure labelling integrity is maintained
-
Comply with company policies and procedures relating to safe food handling and hygiene at all times

Meet required production standards and deadlines
-
Seek training to maintain and develop skills and remain up to date with best practice
-
Carry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety responsibilities

Undertake any other reasonable requests as required
Do you have:

The ability to work under your own initiative

The ability to work effectively as part of a team

A high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed operating procedures

The ability to follow instructions, particularly those relating to personal Health & Safety and the wearing of PPE

Good physical fitness, as the role involves a substantial amount of physical activity
-
A can-do attitude with good communication skills
-
A basic understanding of verbal and written English
-
A desire to progress, develop and advance within the business
Working Hours:

0630-1700 - Monday to Friday
-
40 hours per week
-
Including 2 x 30-minute breaks
