Summary
I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Intensive Care and Support Worker to join our team in Croydon. Based in the local community, you will play a vital role in assisting me with my disabilities to live more independently while respectingmy dignity and preferences.
Duties
- Assist client with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance client' s quality of life.
- Facilitate engaging activities tailored to the interests and abilities of the client.
- Ensure the safety and well being of client by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client's conditions.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving client to appointments or activities when required (or going in a taxi with the client)
- Provide any assistance that will make the life of the client more comfortable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare, senior care, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is an advantage.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- The applicant should be someone who likes pets.
- Reliable and can work on a 1-1 basis.
- Punctual to fit with the hours that need to be covered.
- No smoking in my home or whilst giving support.
- Needs to like cats and be able to take my cat to groomers and the vet.
Shifts Available
Days, Variable hours but around 6 hours each shift in the days and 3 hours at weekends and in the evenings around 3 hours.
