Restaurant Assistant Manager
We’re looking for a positive, high-energy Assistant Manager to join our busy floor and bar team.
If you love the buzz of hospitality, have previous leadership experience and are confident running a shift, this could be the role for you!
You’ll be hands-on, leading from the front and making sure the team, service and customers are all looked after to a high standard.
The Deets
Pay: £14 per hour + tips
Hours: 40–45 hours per week, depending on seasonality & busy periods
Rota: Published 4 weeks in advance
Shifts: Set working days – plan your life!
Days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
Days Off: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Holiday: 28 days per year

Tips: Great tips, with tips currently averaging around £150 per month

The Role
This is a hands-on management position where you’ll be responsible for running shifts and keeping things moving when we’re busy.
You’ll be leading the team on the floor and behind the bar, making sure everyone knows what they’re doing and that our guests receive the level of service we expect.
You’ll be involved in:
- Running shifts and managing the team
- Leading from the front during busy services
- Making sure service is quick, efficient and friendly
- Training and supporting team members
- Cash handling and completing cash-ups
- Dealing with customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Making sure the floor and bar are well organised and ready for service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting the manager with the day-to-day running of the business
- Opening and closing duties
- Helping the team wherever needed – we all muck in!
What We’re Looking For
We need someone with previous hospitality leadership experience who is confident taking charge of a shift.
Bar experience is a must. Previous cellar experience would be a bonus, but don’t worry if you haven’t worked in a cellar before – this can be taught.
You’ll need to be:
- Positive, friendly and approachable
- Confident leading a team
- Comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility
- Able to work quickly and efficiently when it gets busy
- Passionate about good food, drinks and great service
- Reliable and organised
- A good communicator
- Happy working as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to get stuck in wherever needed
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Someone who can keep standards high even when the pressure is on
The Hours
We offer a condensed four-day working week, giving you three consecutive days off every week.
The regular rota is:
Saturday: 11am – close
Sunday: 10am – 5pm
Monday: 11am – close
Tuesday: 11am – close
Wednesday – Friday: OFF
Hours will generally be 40–45 hours per week, depending on seasonality and how busy we are.
One hour of breaks is deducted from each full-day shift.
The rota is published 4 weeks in advance, so you can plan your time outside of work.
Experience & Training
We’re looking for someone who already has experience in hospitality and has previously taken on some form of leadership responsibility.
Full training will be provided on our systems, procedures and cellar operations, but experience, enthusiasm and the right attitude are essential.
