Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for a variety of cutting-edge projects. Your expertise will drive system improvements, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the seamless integration of electrical solutions within larger systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics and system layouts using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve electrical system failures or inefficiencies efficiently.
- Develop and simulate system models using MATLAB, Simulink, and other simulation tools to optimize performance.
- Create detailed PCB layouts for surface mount technology (SMT) components, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, firmware, and signal processing modules.
- Perform debugging, soldering, and testing of electrical assemblies to verify functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into mechanical designs, utilizing SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python and Perl for automation tasks, data analysis, and firmware development.
- Support system design activities by preparing schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation aligned with project requirements.
- Engage in system-level troubleshooting involving surface mount technology assembly lines or embedded firmware issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering roles with a strong background in system design, schematic creation, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or equivalent tools for detailed electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with simulation platforms such as MATLAB/Simulink for modeling complex systems involving signal processing or control algorithms.
- Practical knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, firmware development, and debugging techniques.
- Experience working with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electronics assembly processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to collaborate effectively on integrated electromechanical projects involving CAD tools like SolidWorks or MicroStation.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex electrical issues using systematic troubleshooting methods.
- Knowledge of surface mount component placement and inspection standards within manufacturing environments.
