Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team. This is a varied role that requires excellent multitasking skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in our Harrogate office full time.
The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for clients and contractors, ensuring excellent customer service while managing administrative processes, creating accurate costings, and maintaining detailed records.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Delivering exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Coordinating and liaising with contractors to ensure work is scheduled and completed efficiently.
- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Preparing, creating, and managing all associated paperwork and documentation.
- Producing accurate quotations, job costings, and financial documentation.
- Monitoring costs to ensure projects remain commercially viable and within agreed budgets.
- Maintaining accurate records, filing systems, and customer databases.
- Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and complies with company procedures.
- Resolving customer queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting continuous improvement of administrative and customer service processes.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team and business objectives.
- Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in a customer service or customer support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience creating and managing administrative documentation.
- Good understanding of financial information, including Profit and Loss (P&L) Gross Profit (GP) Margin.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and document management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working with contractors or within a service, maintenance, construction, or facilities management environment.
- Experience using CRM or case management software like Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Knowledge of invoicing and purchase orders
