Longacres Garden Centre are looking for an enthusiastic Manager to join our fun and friendly Toys team, if you enjoy engaging with the public and showcasing new products and leading a team then this could be the position for you, our Toys department is a fun and interactive role stocking a wide arrange of Toys from Books and Board games to Lego sets.

Store: Bagshot
Department: Toys
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with a rota’d day off in the week
Includes: Alternate weekend working
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage our Toys team – this will include the administration of rotas, holidays, and absence cover to ensure the department is sufficiently manned at all times
- Ensure the department delivers an excellent customer experience
- Work with the buyer to assist with seasonal changes and product planning
- Oversee staff within the department and provide guidance as needed.
- Merchandise products on the sales floor to a high standard, ensuring that all the products are clearly and correctly priced and displayed safely
- Serving customers and dealing with enquiries
- Update the team with information such as promotions, new lines, deliveries, and shop floor changes
- Implement new ideas to promote products and increase sales
- Perform probation reviews, return to work interviews, and performance conversations
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Previous management experience within a similar role
- You are enthusiastic and approachable
- Excellent customer service skills

- Previous experience working within a Garden Centre environment
- Ability to work to deadlines efficiently and effectively
