Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. Areas of expertise:
Full re roof in concrete tiles, clay, slate and cement fibre. All aspects of flat EPDM rubber roofing. skylight installations and velux windows. Fascia and soffit replacements. Guttering installations.
Duties:
- Assist with the installation and repair of roofs, including tiles, and roofing materials
- Prepare work areas by removing debris and cleaning surfaces
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Assist with the application of waterproofing materials and sealants
- Collaborate with the roofing team to ensure efficient project completion
- Perform general labour tasks such as lifting heavy materials, operating hand tools, and cleaning work areas
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing (4+ years)
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks
- Physical fitness to carry out heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
