Join our dynamic team as a Production Operative and become a vital part Producing animal feed on our breadplant.
The production operatives Role will to discharge recycled bread for inspection on the picking line, to spot potential foreign body which cannot be made in to animal feed.
Responsibilities
- Carry out basic pre-shift plant start up checks.
- Ensure all foodstuff and feed materials are fully inspected thoughrougly.
- To start and stop the production line as needed to keep the workflow and prevent potential safety hazards.
- operative's are required to have a clean as you go approach
- The stripping of large tote bags of former foodstuffs in to the bulk raw material bay.
- All production operatives must keep the work area clean and tidy at all times to avoid cross contamination and maintain workplace safety, this may include sweeping, mopping and performing general house keeping duties.
- Reporting any foreign body found in any bread loads to there supervisor.
- production opratives must follow safe systems of work which they will be trained on.
- Once trained competently the oprative will be required to drive a telehandler to feed product in to the bread plant hopper and also drive a FLT to serve customers.
- Flt preferrable but training can be given for the telehandler and flt .
Holidays will be 25 days paid bank holidays.
Week one 6am-15:00
Week two 7am-16:00
We will require some flexibility with regards to overtime which is paid at £17.70 ph.
The job will be permanant once passed the 3 month probationary period.
Pay: £13.32-£17.70 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
