Job Description:
This role focuses on light vehicle servicing and essential repair work, ensuring our customers’ vehicles remain safe and reliable on the road. If you have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working in a professional workshop environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Hours of Work
Our depot opens at 08:00, and we operate a staggered start system to support customer demand. Your start time will fall within one of the following patterns:
- 08:00–17:30
- 08:30–17:30
- 09:00–17:30
Monday to Friday only.
Key Duties
- Carry out light vehicle servicing and safety checks
- Replace and fit brakes, suspension components, and exhaust systems
- Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and puncture repairs
- Test vehicles after repair to ensure work meets required standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
What We Don’t Do
- No heavy mechanical work (e.g., engine rebuilds, gearbox repairs, timing chain replacements)
Skills & Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in light vehicle servicing
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repair tasks
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common mechanical issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop
Wages
Your salary will fall between £37,500 and £40,000, depending on start time.
This is a stable, guaranteed monthly income with no commission schemes and no inflated targets. We believe in paying people properly for the work they do.
