Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Pipe Fitter and play a vital role in constructing, installing, and maintaining piping systems across diverse industrial and construction projects. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to meet project specifications.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various pipe materials, including welding techniques as required.
- Solder and assemble plumbing components ensuring secure connections for fluid or gas conveyance.
- Use basic math skills to measure, mark, and verify pipe dimensions for precise fitting and alignment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on piping systems and assist in troubleshooting issues during installation or repair phases.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting tools and equipment regularly.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, soldering, and welding techniques with demonstrated hands-on experience.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and construction blueprints for accurate pipe installation.
- Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, plumbing principles, and general construction practices.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, threaders, as well as power tools required for cutting and assembly.
- Ability to read basic math measurements accurately for precise pipe fitting and alignment tasks.
- Experience with assembly processes involving pipes, fittings, valves, and related components.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for piping systems to ensure longevity and safety of installations.
