Staff Nurse (Outpatients)
Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Rd, London (SW5 0TU)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts:
Monday to Friday - 8am to 8pm
Saturday - 8am to 2pm
Salary: Paying from £37,080 a year dependent on experience
The Outpatients Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care across outpatient services, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role supports the smooth running of clinics through effective patient assessment, care planning, and coordination, while maintaining professional standards, contributing to clinical governance, and supporting junior staff. It also plays a key part in ensuring a consistent patient experience and supporting service delivery across the directorate.

How you'll help us make health happen:
- Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the
patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service. -
Manage care of allocated patients.

Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.

Maintain requirements to ensure success in the Revalidation process.

Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area reporting to and from meetings/
training updates. -
Recognise the needs for DOL's assessments, mental capacity assessment
and ‘simple' and ‘complex' safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns. -
Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met
including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the
patients. -
Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest
and fire. -
Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.

Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring
that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.

ILS qualification required.

Competent with immunisation training, wound care management and venepuncture.

Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role Outpatients experience.

Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills & report
writing. -
Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
