Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Duties
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications
- Construct frameworks, partitions, roofing structures, staircases, cabinetry, and other wooden fixtures with precision
- Install finished carpentry elements on-site, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient workflow
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing wooden structures or fixtures as needed
- Assist with roofing tasks by installing trusses, sheathing, or other roofing components in accordance with safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in Joinery.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Previous experience working on diverse projects including residential, commercial or industrial sites is preferred
