Deputy Manager – Gloucester (GL4)
Salary: £35,750 – £37,000 p/a (including 60 contracted sleep-ins per year)

As Deputy Manager, you’ll work alongside the Registered Manager to lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team, ensuring every child receives consistent, high-quality, and person-centred care.
Your Role – Leading, Supporting, and Making an Impact:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead, guide, and develop a team to deliver outstanding, child-centred care
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children can grow and develop
- Oversee care planning, staff supervisions, and team development
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external partners
- Ensure safeguarding practices and Ofsted standards are consistently met
- Support with rotas, recruitment, and the smooth operation of the home
What You Need:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with learning disabilities
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare (within the last 5 years)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Working towards or holding a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Good understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins
