Assistant Branch Manager

Job Role
To support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, and a motivated team. The Assistant Branch Manager will help drive sales, support colleagues, and contribute to the continued growth of Beatson's Building Supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Branch Manager in the daily operation of the branch.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to trade and retail customers.
- Assist in achieving branch sales and profitability targets.
- Lead, motivate, and support branch staff.
- Help manage stock levels and maintain stock accuracy.
- Ensure the branch is safe, clean, and well organised.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Resolve customer enquiries and issues professionally.
- Promote products and identify sales opportunities.
- Cover branch management duties in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Requirements
- At least five years within a builders merchant or similar trade environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Good understanding of building materials and products.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and administrative skills.

Salary, Hours & Benefits
Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Every second Saturday: 7:30am – 12:00pm
Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business.
