Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and practices
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
