At Monkey Puzzle East Finchley, mealtimes are about so much more than filling little tummies. They are an opportunity to introduce children to new flavours, encourage healthy habits, celebrate different cultures, and create positive experiences around food.
We're looking for a passionate, organised and caring Nursery Chef to become part of our amazing team.
You'll have the support of two dedicated Kitchen Assistants, allowing you to focus on creating delicious, nutritious meals while working together to keep our kitchen running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking fresh, balanced breakfasts, lunches, teas and snacks for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
- Planning varied, nutritious menus that meet the needs of young children.
- Managing dietary requirements, allergies and food intolerances with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
- Ordering stock and maintaining appropriate food supplies.
- Working closely with nursery staff to promote healthy eating and encourage children to develop positive relationships with food.
- Supporting celebrations and cultural events through exciting and inclusive menus.
- Leading and supporting our two Kitchen Assistants to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
