Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver specialising in 3.5T vehicles to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within the designated area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous delivery or warehouse experience to utilise their driving skills in a dynamic environment. The position is full-time, requiring a commitment to punctuality, safety, and customer service excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate a 3.5T delivery vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely drop-offs at multiple locations
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers and update delivery records accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times, ensuring it complies with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for 3.5T vehicles (category <PERSON> driver) or equivalent
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation tools to optimise routes
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Must pass relevant background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations
