Job Overview
Volunteer Connectors are the face and voice of Voluntary Norfolk’s Support Services and are passionate about the positive impact of volunteering in improving and supporting client outcomes.
They provide service delivery on a day-to-day basis, supporting volunteers and clients, risk assessing and monitoring case progression, setting and demonstrating standards and reporting progress.
The Volunteer Connector is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about supporting clients to manage their lives independently where possible. They are dedicated to recruiting, training and supporting high quality volunteers, have good IT, communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy helping others to achieve their goals and make a difference.
Main Purpose of the Job:
- To oversee volunteers roles within the Support Services on a day to day basis, communicating and building relationships with volunteers, clients and referrers.
- To risk assess and monitor volunteer activity. Visiting client homes as needed.
- To work with the Service Manager and other team members in the delivery of activities, maintaining ongoing client support activities and responding to referrals
- To support referees from Health and Social care, as agreed by commissioners and VN Managers. Ensuring that success is evidenced and tracked in accordance with VN and service processes and procedures.
- To effectively use agreed volunteer and client management systems to record activities and communication and to meet agreed targets in line with approved Voluntary Norfolk (VN) policies and procedures
- To manage a caseload of clients, providing flexible and responsive support based upon the identified needs of the individual, offering time-aware interventions in line with service delivery.
Pay: £27,134.00 per year
