We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Calf & Youngstock Team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a specialist career working closely with dairy farmers, providing practical advice that improves calf performance, welfare and farm profitability.
This is a full-time role, but part-time would be considered for the right candidate. It would be field-based across Wales, with the main office location being at Clynderwen, Pembs.
The Role
As a Trainee Calf & Youngstock Specialist, you will work closely with dairy farmers to support the healthy growth and development of calves and youngstock. With full training and ongoing support, you will:
✅Work directly with farmers to improve calf and youngstock management.
✅Advise on nutrition, colostrum management, housing, ventilation and hygiene.
✅Monitor calf growth and health performance on farm.
✅Deliver mobility and body condition scoring services for dairy herds.
✅Promote our range of calf feeds, milk replacers and youngstock products.
✅Support farmer meetings, open days and training events.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about agriculture and eager to develop a career within the dairy industry. You will ideally have:
✔A passion for calves, dairy farming and animal nutrition.
✔Agricultural, animal science or livestock experience.
✔Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
✔A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
✔Good organisational and IT skills.
✔A full UK driving licence.

Pay: £27,664.00-£28,080.00 per year
