About Us
The Kingfisher Café serves the independently owned Kingfishers Bridge Nature Reserve in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Fens. We take pride in offering homemade cakes, quality coffee, and hot and cold food to visitors who come to enjoy one of the region’s most beautiful natural spaces.
The Role
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Front of House Team Members to join our team. If you enjoy working in a busy café environment, have a positive attitude and love providing excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you! The role involves:
- Welcoming and serving customers
- Taking orders and operating the till
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks (barista experience is an advantage, but training can be provided)
- Running food and drinks to tables
- Opening the café and setting up for the day
- Closing down and preparing the café for the next day
- Cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards
- General café duties as required
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a great team player
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Is reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Can work weekends as part of a rota
- Is flexible and willing to help wherever needed
- Is able to drive, as the café is not accessible by public transport
- Is 16 or over

- Competitive pay from £8 (age 16-17)/£11 (age 18-20)/£13 per hour, depending on age and experience
