Position: Concierge Customer Service Assistant (Admin and Clerical)

Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality concierge and customer service support to internal and external customers, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, responding to queries, providing information, and directing requests to the appropriate teams where required
- Maintain accurate records, update customer information, and ensure all administrative processes are completed in line with council procedures
- Support day-to-day administrative and clerical activities, including document preparation, data entry, filing, and record management
- Use IT systems effectively, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and website content management tools to create, update, and manage information
- Assist with the preparation, collation, and interpretation of numerical and financial data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Process and monitor information, reports, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with council policies
- Support the delivery of efficient front-line services by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate solutions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, service users, and stakeholders across the organisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance customer service processes and administrative procedures
Person Specification
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide a welcoming, helpful, and professional service to a wide range of customers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle enquiries effectively both face-to-face and through written communication
- Good administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively
- Strong IT skills, including practical experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online content management systems
- Good numeracy skills, with the ability to collate, calculate, and interpret numerical and financial information accurately
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling records, reports, and customer information
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements and the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a busy customer-focused environment
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or a public sector environment would be desirable
