Mactech require a Rigging Superintendent to join a team working on the prefabrication, installation, and erection of piping systems on the mechanical scope at Hinkley Point C.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the planning, lifting and rigging operations on the outdoor pipework layout area at site, which will include set-up, maintenance, safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment, co-ordinating supervision and all lifting activities in accordance with regulations, and be present during all lifting operations.
Suitable candidates must have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
Level 3 Diploma in Moving Loads OR Erecting Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures OR Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant & Equipment
Appointed Person – Moving Loads OR CPCS A61 Appointed Person
CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor
LATS OR SSSTS OR IOSH Managing Safely
CCNSG Safety Passport
Enrolment onto ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit OR Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS)
Working Arrangements:
10/4 rotation
Days: 9 x 10-hour shifts (Tuesday to Wednesday) & 1 x 6-hour shift every second Thursday
PAYE Rates:
Basic: £35.81
OT1: £50.13
OT2: £64.46
Bonus Potential (up to): £5.37 p/hr
Additional Payments and Holidays
Lodge: £53.39 p/night / £373.73 p/week – if eligible
Travel: Return Fare & Travel Time each month – if eligible
Holidays: 190 hours per annum + Public/Bank
