We are recruiting on behalf of a leading care provider for an experienced Care Trainer to join their People team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in equipping care professionals with the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
Working closely with operational managers and the wider People team, you will design, deliver and evaluate engaging training programmes that support compliance, professional development and continuous improvement across a range of care services.

Key Responsibilities:
As Care Trainer, you will:
- Design, develop and deliver engaging classroom, practical and blended learning programmes for new and existing employees
- Deliver mandatory and specialist training, including:
- Safeguarding
- Manual Handling
- Medication Administration
- Dementia Awareness
- Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training
- Emergency First Aid
- Work with operational managers to identify learning and development needs across the organisation
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, workbooks and e-learning content
- Assess learner competence through both practical observations and knowledge assessments
- Provide coaching and mentoring to support employees in their ongoing development
- Support employees working towards Health and Social Care qualifications
- Plan and deliver engaging induction programmes and mandatory refresher training
- Maintain accurate training records and compliance data
- Manage and update the organisational training matrix
- Monitor training effectiveness and produce reports on learning outcomes
- Observe workplace practice and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with managers to support personal development plans
- Assist with the planning and publication of training calendars
- Deliver occasional training on wider people and HR topics, including Safer Recruitment
- Keep up to date with current legislation, best practice and regulatory requirements within the care sector
- Represent the organisation at relevant external meetings, conferences and networking events where required
Requirements:
- A recognised training or teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent)
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience within the social care sector)
- Experience delivering mandatory training within health or social care
- Good understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding and current care legislation
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methods
- A positive, engaging and motivational approach
- Passionate about raising standards of care and supporting others to succeed
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between services
