Conwy and Denbighshire are seeking to appoint an Independent Panel member for the Adoption Panel. Conwy and Denbighshire are part of the regional North Wales Adoption Service, covering the six North Wales Local Authorities. We are looking for a confident Panel Member with a personal or professional understanding of the adoption process, someone who can bring their own experiences and have the confidence to raise their views. An ability to contribute to the overall performance and development of the service. This vital role ensures that Panel business is conducted in line with legislation, regulations and agency policies, and that clear, well-evidenced recommendations are made in the best interests of children.
This Independent Panel member, supports balanced and inclusive discussion, promotes anti-discriminatory practice, and works closely with the Panel Chair and other Panel members.
About You
You will bring strong communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, valuing diversity, maintaining confidentiality and continuing professional learning. You do not need to have a qualification to be a Panel Member.
Fees
- £130 per panel
- Mileage paid in line with Local Authority policy.
