Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Childcare Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Prior experience in childcare or education is preferred, along with a genuine passion for working with children. Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, games, and educational exercises
- Assist children with daily routines such as meals, naps, and hygiene needs
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for children
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing encouragement and positive reinforcement
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
- Observe and record behavioural or developmental milestones as required
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards children's needs
- Ability to organise activities that promote learning and development
- Basic knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Must be able to work flexible hours between 7am-6pm including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is essential
