SEN Learning Support
Are you a graduate in psychology who is keen to support students with special educational needs (SEN)?
Would you like to gain valuable experience on the path to becoming a teacher or educational psychologist?
Step Into Teaching is looking for psychology graduates, with the desire to put their knowledge into practice as a SEN Learning Support in an secondary school in Haringey, Greater London.
As an SEN Learning Support, you will be supporting pupils with various learning disabilities and working alongside outstanding teachers to establish a compassionate learning environment in which all pupils can reach their true potential.
The successful SEN Learning Support must:
- Hold psychology degree with a 2:2 or above or related degree
- Be able to handle challenging situations with ease and inspire and motivate.
- Be passionate inspiring students with special educational needs to reach their full potential and achieve excellence.
- Hold outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Be confident and display knowledge of the curriculum and efficiently deal with any obstacles to learning.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with students whilst treating them with respect and consideration
- Assist students on an individual and group basis with educational and individual needs.
The role as a SEN Learning Support:
- Secondary school in Haringey, Greater London
- £565 - £580 per week - Term Time Only
- Full-time - Monday – Friday – 35 hours per week
- Start Sept for the academic year
