Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) – Part‑Time, Term Time Only (Start: Sept 2026)
Hours: 17.5 per week
Pay: £13 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Location: Stanwix, Carlisle
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our small, friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys working in a nurturing, child‑centred environment.
About the Role
You will support the day‑to‑day running of the nursery, helping to create a safe, stimulating and caring setting where children can learn and thrive. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high‑quality care and engaging learning experiences.
Requirements
- Relevant Early Years qualification that appears on the Department for Education’s Early Years Qualification List (essential)
- Level 3 qualification preferred, however Level 2 applicants will be considered depending on experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an early years setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, caring and committed to high‑quality childcare
Desirable (not essential)
- Paediatric First Aid training
- Being on the DBS Update Service
