Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and customer preferences
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed throughout food preparation and service
- Manage food inventory, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
