Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and supporting the visual merchandising of our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
- Upsell products where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities
- Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage stock levels, organise stockroom, and assist with inventory checks
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Support organisational tasks such as restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness
- Demonstrate effective time management to ensure all duties are completed efficiently
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail best practices is preferred
- Professional phone etiquette when dealing with customers over the phone or via email
- Experience in upselling or promoting products is a plus
- Organised, reliable, and able to work well within a team
