We are looking for an IT Systems Trainer who is energetic, curious, and genuinely motivated to help colleagues learn. You do not need to be an expert in learning and development methodology from day one; full training will be provided. What matters most is your attitude, confidence, presence, and ability to engage people.
In this role, you will deliver practical systems training across the firm, helping colleagues understand, adopt, and use key platforms confidently. This will include new starter induction, business-as-usual training, follow-up sessions and targeted support for teams and departments.
You will work closely with IT, HR, L&D and departmental heads to identify training needs, develop clear learning materials and promote best practice in system use.
This is a full-time office-based role in Huddersfield, that will involve regular travel across all twelve of our offices, so access to your own car is essential. You will of course be compensated for travel expenses. Once established there will be opportunity to work one day a week from home.
- Deliver engaging training sessions across the firm using desk‑side, classroom, one‑to‑one and virtual approaches.
- Run new starter induction and follow‑up sessions to reinforce learning and identify further needs.
- Support colleagues with day‑to‑day system queries and provide practical guidance.
- Create clear, modern training materials including guides, videos and e‑learning content.
- Keep all training content up to date as systems evolve.
- Work with IT, HR and departmental heads to identify training needs and design learning solutions.
- Maintain accurate training records and report on engagement and outcomes.
- Promote best practice and confident system use across the firm.
We are looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm and credibility to training delivery. You will enjoy helping people learn, be able to adapt your approach for different audiences and have the confidence to support colleagues at all levels, including partners, fee-earners and support staff.
As part of the L&D Team, you will receive training in session design, learning objectives, blended delivery, materials creation and modern training practice. If you have strong systems knowledge and the right mindset, we will support you to develop the rest.
- Experience delivering training or coaching in a professional environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
- Confidence presenting to mixed audiences including partners, fee‑earners and support staff.
- Ability to work independently, manage time well and stay calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, practical attitude.
- Experience with case management systems in a legal environment.
- Experience creating training materials, videos or e-learning content.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Working knowledge of document management, billing or time recording systems.
We will provide full training in L&D methodology. What we need from you is a positive, learner-focused approach and a genuine interest in helping colleagues feel confident using technology.
- Growth mindset — open, curious and eager to learn.
- High-energy delivery — able to make training engaging, accessible and enjoyable.
- Credible presence — confident supporting a range of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Learner-first attitude — patient, practical and focused on helping others succeed.
- Adaptable communication style — able to adjust tone, pace and approach for different audiences.
- Calm and resilient — able to handle technical issues, resistance or challenging situations with composure.
- Self-starter — proactive, organised and able to manage workload independently.
- Collaborative approach — works well with IT, HR, L&D and departmental heads.
If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you, please submit your CV with a cover letter for consideration.
We welcome applications from candidates who meet the essential criteria and are enthusiastic about developing their training and L&D capability.
