The Play Café Sunderland is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking person to join our team!
We are a busy family play café offering food, drinks, children’s parties, classes, events and play sessions — so no two days are quite the same!
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable and able to work well as part of a team, while also being confident working independently when needed.
The role will include:
- Serving customers and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing food, drinks, coffees, milkshakes and smoothies
- Serving customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Clearing and cleaning tables
- Keeping the café, kitchen and play areas clean and tidy
- Washing dishes and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Helping with children's parties, events and activities
- Setting up and clearing away sessions and events
- Helping to keep the play area safe, clean and organised
- Restocking supplies
- Handling payments and using the till
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Working as part of a busy team to ensure the café runs smoothly

Previous café or hospitality experience is preferred, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
