Goldilocks Nursery is a new nursery which opened in September 2024 near Folkestone Town Centre. We also have 2 other nurseries Goldilocks Nursery Ashford and Goldilocks Nursery Sittingbourne both settings are rated 'Good' by Oftsed.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our team. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Duties:
-Manage a team of staff within your room
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Provide personal care to children, including feeding, changing nappies, and assisting with toileting
- Observe and monitor children's development and behavior
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
- Maintain a clean and organised environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Create positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Experience:
- Previous room leader experience is preferred
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood setting is a must.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to engage children in creative and educational activities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Patience and empathy when working with young children
- Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
