Flooring Installer – MOD Refurbishment Projects
Location: Blandford Forum / Poole
Pay Rate: £180 per day
Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm
Duration: Ongoing, potentially up to 5 years
We are currently looking for an experienced Carpet Fitter / Flooring Installer to join our team working across a number of MOD (Ministry of Defence) sites, carrying out high-volume internal refurbishment works.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced flooring professional looking for long-term, ongoing work with plenty of repeat projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting carpet and luxury vinyl flooring across various rooms
- Measuring and preparing areas for flooring installation
- Preparing subfloors to ensure a quality finish
- Installing flooring to a high standard
- Completing finishing details and ensuring all flooring is securely fitted
- Working from an agreed scope of works for each unit
- Working efficiently to meet tight project deadlines
- Working independently or as part of a small team
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
What to Expect
- Work will be carried out on active MOD sites
- All operatives must be able to pass relevant security and site clearance checks
- Tight turnaround times, with plots needing to be completed efficiently and to programme
- You will be provided with a scope of works for each unit
- You will be expected to work independently or as part of a small team
- Ongoing and repeat work available for the right candidate
- Potential for work to continue for up to 5 years
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpet Fitter / Flooring Installer
- Strong experience fitting carpet and luxury vinyl flooring
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work efficiently to tight deadlines
- Must be willing and able to complete MOD security/site clearance
