We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels through the art of dance. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including early childhood education and preschool students.
- Lead lively, well-structured dance classes that incorporate various styles such as ballet, jazz.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or special education teams to support students with diverse learning needs or additional support requirements.
- Ensure all lessons promote physical activity safely while emphasizing proper technique and injury prevention.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups, especially in early childhood education or preschool settings.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to maintain an engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities with an emphasis on safety and proper technique.
- Ability to incorporate creative writing and storytelling into dance instruction to foster imagination and expressive skills.
- Familiarity with special education principles and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent proofreading and organizational skills for preparing lesson materials and tracking student progress.
Looking for a dance teacher to work on a tuesday afternoon 3:30 till 7pm in Cherry Hinton and thursday afternoons 3:30 till 7pm in Haverhill.
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.0 per week
