Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to meet hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ensuring stock is stored correctly
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure efficient operation
- Adhering to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles within hospitality settings is beneficial
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment demonstrates strong organisational skills and adaptability
