Reporting to a Principal Software Engineer, the Senior Software Engineer is part of Edrington's technology function responsible for designing, building and supporting software solutions that drive both exceptional consumer experiences and business operations.The role will initially sit within the Global Digital Technology team, where the successful candidate will contribute to the development of websites, APIs and digital platforms that enable Edrington's brands to engage with consumers and deliver premium digital experiences. During this assignment, the engineer will work across modern cloud platforms, integration services and software delivery practices while collaborating closely with product owners, designers and business stakeholders.Following the initial 12-month placement, the role may continue within Global Digital Technology or transition into the Operations & Analytics team. This provides a unique opportunity to broaden technical experience across both customer-facing digital ecosystems and the internal operational and analytical platforms that support Edrington's global business. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a pragmatic, agile and rapidly evolving environment. They will demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals, ownership of technical solutions, and a willingness to learn across multiple business domains while contributing to the growth of both technology platforms and team capability.

Troubleshoot incidents and improve system reliability, resilience and performance.
Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
Support data integration, operational workflows and business processes.
Work closely with product, analytics and operational teams to deliver business outcomes.
Your Talent and Skills
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python) and frameworks.
Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID).
In-depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).
Experience with database design and management (SQL, NoSQL).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud-native application design.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems like Git.
Experience with using Github Copilot or similar AI assisted software development tools
