Palace House Care Home is looking for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to support our nursing team. This role is suitable for a confident nurse who has strong experience working in a nursing home environment and can manage clinical responsibilities safely and independently.
The successful candidate must be highly skilled in medication management, including safe administration, accurate recording, stock control, controlled drugs procedures, and identifying medication errors or concerns promptly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering safe, person-centred nursing care to residents
- Administering and managing medication safely and accurately
- Completing clinical documentation to a high standard
- Supporting residents with nursing and complex care needs
- Working closely with care staff, senior staff, managers, GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Monitoring residents’ health and escalating concerns appropriately
- Maintaining high standards of infection control, safeguarding and dignity
- Supporting the smooth running of the nursing unit during each shift
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN
- Previous nursing home experience is essential
- Strong medication management skills
- Confident with clinical decision-making and escalation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Must have the right to work in England
- Must be able to work on a self-employed / contractor basis
About you:
You will be calm, organised and confident in a busy nursing home setting. You must be able to take responsibility for medication, clinical records and resident care, while working professionally with the wider care team.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
